Now one has to remember that these are an authentic landrace. Growers from that part of the world open pollinate with a ratio of 20 females to every 1 male. In an open field they kill the weak male plants and leave the strong males to pollinate all of the females. Once the season is over they can then see the best females and those are the plants they harvest the seeds from.
